Server Rules

Welcome to ForsakenRO! By downloading our patch, connecting to our server, or engaging in our community in any way, you unconditionally agree to all areas covered by this document. If this is your first time reading the rules, please take the time to read them in full.

Account & Security

Account Sharing

Sharing accounts is strongly discouraged. If you share accounts with a player who is ban evading, all of your accounts and IP addresses will be permanently blocked. If you share accounts with someone who gets banned, you risk your accounts being banned as well.

Lending, Sharing, or Borrowing Gear

Any manner of sharing gear between players is strongly discouraged. If you choose to share your gear, you assume complete responsibility for what happens to it. If the person you lend gear to is banned, the administration is not obligated to recover the items. If you share gear with a ban evader, you will be punished for aiding in ban evasion.

Account Theft

This applies to any case of account theft. Stealing items and accounts both fall under this rule.

Account Selling / Trading

This applies to any detectable attempt of selling or trading an account, including trading for accounts on another server or for real money.

Selling / Trading / Buying Items for Real Money (PHP)

Selling items for real money is strictly prohibited under any circumstances. Buyers will have all purchased items removed and risk account bans. Anyone aware of RMT who does not report it may also receive punishment.

Filing a Chargeback / Scamming

Donations fund and support our servers. Filing a chargeback after donating incurs hefty fees that hurt our ability to maintain the server. Threatening a chargeback may also result in punishment.

Ban Evasion

Once blocked, you are not permitted to create new accounts or access the server by any means. This includes creating new accounts, hiding items on alts/guild storages, giving items to others to hold, borrowing accounts, or any other means of evasion.

Aiding in Ban Evasion

This includes holding gear for banned players, receiving gear from a banned player, lending/sharing gear with a banned player, letting a banned player use your accounts, or not reporting ban evasion. Whether you know the player is banned or not does not matter; your account and items are your responsibility.

Cheating & Exploiting

Botting

Using a third-party program that plays the game for you, including built-in macro keyboards used to farm.

Third-Party Programs

This applies to any bot, helper, sprite edit, or program that gives an unfair advantage.

AFK Farming

Farming while AFK gives an unfair advantage. This applies to AFKing on any class while using a Dark Lord card or any other card/item that automatically uses a skill to kill spawns.

Bug Abuse

Using a flaw of the game for your benefit. Bugs must be reported immediately via @request or the Ticket System if no GM is online.

Unauthorized Access (Hacking)

Users are only allowed to access the server via our authorized patcher and/or login windows.

Scamming

Tricking another player into doing or giving something. We want ForsakenRO to have an honest community.

Potential Hazard to the Server

Just because something is not explicitly forbidden does not mean you should do it. Use common sense. If your actions are deemed a hazard to the server, the GM team will take full action.

Communication & Conduct

Inappropriate Language

Any use of language that is abusive, threatening, defamatory, vulgar, sexually explicit, obscene, or racially/ethnically offensive is not allowed. This applies to explicit and implicit language, images, and links.

Harassment

Harassment of or personal attacks on other players is forbidden. This includes distributing personal or private information, pictures, slandering, defaming, or spreading rumors. Repeatedly targeting a specific player will lead to more severe punishment.

Disrespect

Any form of disrespect to other players and staff will not be tolerated. Disrespecting or patronizing new players is discouraged. Depending on severity, such actions may result in punishment.

Nonconstructive Criticism

There is a fine line between complaining and giving constructive criticism. Complaining without offering help or beneficial insights is detrimental to the server's reputation.

Disrespecting or Defying Staff Decisions

The staff's decision is final. Players may seek clarification, but may not disrespect, flame, or be flippant to any staff because of a punishment. If you believe you have been punished unfairly, make a ticket in the ticket system.

Immoral Speech

Constant verbal abuse is punishable. A simple curse word is not enough, but severity and repetition are considered.

Advertising

Advertising other servers, top sites, games, or channels is not acceptable.

Advertising Other Servers / Games

We do not pay for bandwidth so you can advertise your server(s). Your IP address will be delivered to the advertised server's GM team.

Spreading False Information

This applies to excessive non-constructive criticism, slander, or anything that unjustly jeopardizes the reputation of the server and/or its staff.

Extensive Begging

Continuously asking for something and annoying others around you.

Broadcast Abuse

Using the broadcaster to insult other players, annoy the community, make misleading broadcasts, provoke, harass, or profane. Reviewing a GM via broadcaster is instant punishment. Using the broadcaster for conversation is prohibited. Disguising abuse with B> or S> will also result in punishment.

Spam

Unnecessary repetition of a word or sentence, including via @request. If you want to get a message out, use a chat room or broadcast.

Abuse of @request Command

@request should only be used to contact a GM for help, unless otherwise stated. Do not use it to spam, insult, or beg.

Unnecessary Usage of Skills

Constantly using skills unnecessary to the given situation. This is considered community harassment.

Intentional Spamming / Broadcast Abuse

Using ASCII or other methods to avoid being punished for broadcast abuse or spamming is strictly prohibited.

PvP, WoE, and Battlegrounds

Kill Stealing

Also known as "KSing". Kill stealing is not allowed. MvPs are free for all, and players are entitled to killing competitors for naturally spawned MvPs. Specially summoned MvPs (such as Thanatos) are strictly owned by their summoners. Any breach may result in retrieval of rare items dropped by the MvP.

Cheating or Dishonest Tactics in WoE

The following are forbidden during WoE:

• Breaking Bloody Branches and/or Dead Branches on WoE maps when WoE is active
• Opening chats/vends around the emperium or any other method to block targeting of the emperium (obstructing with your own character does not apply)
• Dealing, sending friend requests, sending party invites, or any other method to hinder an opponent's vision

Battlegrounds Integrity

Using alternative accounts, kill feeding, or any form of cheating in Battlegrounds to farm tokens or give yourself an advantage is strictly prohibited. This includes intentionally dying to benefit another player, using alts to stack teams, or any other underhanded tactic.

Events

Event Rules

• Follow specific event rules as announced
• No teaming in Free-For-All events
• Win trading or event manipulation is forbidden
• One account per player in events

Cheating in an Event

The GMs state event rules very specifically before starting. Ignorance is not an excuse.

Names, Guilds, and Impersonation

Inappropriate / Offensive Names

Inappropriate or offensive character, party, or guild names are considered community harassment.

Game Master Impersonation

Avoid having the letters "GM" at the start of your name. The use of the word "Admin" is also strictly forbidden. Any word that may lead others to believe you are part of ForsakenRO's staff is forbidden.

Player Impersonation

Misrepresenting yourself as another player, including "mocking" names similar to another player's.

Guild / Emblem Impersonation

Using another guild's emblem/name or a modification of it is forbidden at any time. All impersonations will be viewed as intentional.

Revealing a Game Master's Identity

This applies to directly stating or implying who a GM is by any indirect means.

Staff Interaction

Failure to Co-operate With Game Masters

Read carefully everything written in bright yellow letters: that's a GM speaking.

In an event:

• First Offense: Disqualification from event

In breach of rules:

• First Offense: If offender denies punishment when proven guilty, intensify punishment by one instance for every false argument the GM disproves

Offending a GM intentionally:

GM Work Prevention

Pestering a GM and not allowing them to get work done, including spamming @request during events.

Keeping Distance from NPCs

Do not go AFK within three cells of an NPC. This obstructs the NPC from view and makes it difficult to access. Warping yourself directly on top of an NPC is also against the rules. You do not need a chat open to be AFK; GMs may warp you elsewhere if necessary.

Custom Content

Sprite Theft

ForsakenRO's custom sprites are made exclusively for ForsakenRO. No one is permitted to edit, alter, take, or modify any custom sprites, including using them as bases for "new" sprites. Supplying our sprites to non-players, banned players, or any filesharing site is forbidden.

Discord Rules

Discord Spamming

Short, incoherent, or irrelevant messages. Sending single-word or single-character messages, flooding channels with repeated content, or replying to others without contributing to the discussion qualifies as spam.

Discord Flaming

Insulting other players' behaviors, looks, or tastes.

Provoking / Baiting

Sending messages intended to cause controversy, unrest, or negative reactions; engaging in continuous personal conflicts; or baiting others into breaching a rule.

Posting in Wrong Channels

Repeatedly posting content irrelevant to a channel's designated purpose.

Posting False Server Information

Posting false information about new items, quests, modifications, or any other server-related topic.

Profile Picture & Display Name Rules

Pornography, sexual pictures, vulgar language, advertisement, racial slurs, or promotion of illegal programs in your Discord profile picture or display name will not be tolerated.

Reporting Issues

Use the proper channels to report problems:

• Technical Issues: Discord support channel or in-game @request
• Rule Violations: In-game @request command or Discord
• Bug Reports: Discord or Ticket System
• Suggestions: Discord

Appeals

• Ban appeals can be submitted through Discord or the Ticket System
• Provide evidence supporting your appeal
• Appeals are reviewed by senior staff
• Decision on appeals is final

Additional Policies

Account Recovery

• Keep your email and security information up to date
• Recovery requires proof of ownership
• Staff will never ask for your password

Content Updates

• Rules may be updated as needed
• Check this page regularly for changes
• Ignorance of rules is not an excuse

Language and Translation

• Official rules are in English
• Translations may be provided but English version is authoritative
• When in doubt, ask staff for clarification

Your Responsibility

By playing on ForsakenRO, you agree to:

• Follow all rules and guidelines
• Accept consequences for rule violations
• Report rule breakers and bugs
• Contribute to a positive community
